
FLVME, one of South Africa’s leading figures in the new wave of trap-fueled hip hop, hails from Katlehong, Johannesburg, where he was born in 1999. Influenced by artists like Lil Wayne, Da L.E.S, and Travis Scott, he left school in Grade 11 to pursue music. After briefly signing with Ambitiouz Records in 2016, FLVME joined The Wrecking Crew with A-Reece and B3nchMarQ. His debut EP Clouds (2017), along with Do Not Disturb and Germander, showcased his talents as both a producer and MC. His debut album CandyMan earned him Best Newcomer and Best Male honors at the 2019 South African Hip-Hop Awards.
